Custom build mapping: Base Mapping & Overlays
The Ezytreev base map
Typically consists of the Ordnance Survey Mastermap Topography layer which provides the greatest level of detail for maps of Great Britain. This data is licenced from Ordnance Survey and is updated at regular intervals. There are other base map sources available for use in Ezytreev, such as OpenStreetMap, which can be used as an alternative.
User defined GIS layers
Can be added to the map in order to show information such as ownership extents or other designated areas. These layers can be provided in one of our supported file formats which include Geopackage, MapInfo Tab file and ESRI ShapeFile. Web Feature Services may also be used as a source of external user defined overlays.
Customisable overlays
Overlays can be customised with unique styles and displayed over the base map and aerial photography to create a highly customisable mapping system. Ezytreev/Ezyasset provides an integrated “street gazetteer”, enabling rapid identification of tree and asset locations. Users can search by town, street, or individual property and zoom directly to the required location.
Google maps & what3words
Mapping is linked to Google Maps, allowing users to access Street View previews for a real-world perspective of tree and asset locations. What3words is also supported for map navigation and can be displayed on the tree/asset details screen, and as an option for inclusion in outputs such as reports.
Mapping across devices
Whether in the office or the field, mapping ensures that all your location-based data is at your fingertips

Desktop & mobile
Mapping is available both on desktop and all devices used by surveyors and tree teams in the field.
Real-time data
Mapping is linked to the data inventory: any tree, TPO or asset selected in the database will be highlighted on the map and vice-versa.
Grouping by sites & locations
Ezytreev uses ‘sites’ and ‘locations’ for grouping together trees/assets within a particular boundary.
Offline functionality
The Onsite App ensures that all mapping and data is available at all times, even without an internet connection.
Precise geopositioning
GIS based mapping with latitude/longitude coordinates, with high accuracy in real time using device GPS.
GPS assistance
In-built GPS is used to assist plotting features and offers a ‘circle of confidence’. OS reference and what3words are automatically captured when a tree/asset is plotted.
Data export for external systems
Users can easily export their tree data in Shapefile, TAB, DXF, KML, and other compatible formats, ensuring seamless integration with external GIS platforms for smooth data transfer and analysis. Ezytreev/Ezyasset also comes integrated with an OGC compliant Web Feature Service. Layers can be added to this service from within Ezytreev/Ezyasset and customised to export a range of data fields which can then be displayed in compatible GIS software.
