The Royal Borough of Greenwich has just launched an innovative Community Tree Portal, a platform that invites residents to engage with the trees that define their surroundings. Managing more than 35,000 trees, the borough provides detailed information through the portal, including species, size, photos, inspection reports, and maintenance history. Additionally, the portal incorporates i-Tree Ecosystem services, highlighting the environmental benefits these trees provide, from carbon sequestration to improved air quality.
What really sets this initiative apart is how it’s fully integrated with the Ezytreev Enquiries and Complaints module. If a resident submits an enquiry about a tree or location on the map, it automatically creates a record in Ezytreev, linking it directly to that tree in the system. This smooth integration makes the whole process faster and more efficient, ensuring enquiries are handled quickly while boosting community engagement.
